This documentary reveals the story of the Scots Asian-run hillwalking group helping people from ethnic minority backgrounds explore the great outdoors.
This Our Lives documentary tells the story of Boots and Beards, a Scots Asian-run hillwalking group helping people from ethnic minority backgrounds explore the great outdoors. We join the group as it gathers once again after a year in lockdown and prepares to celebrate its landmark 100th walk.
We meet the group鈥檚 founders, Naveed Baksh and Kashif Butt, whose close friendship has been a driving force behind the success of the group. Their fortnightly hillwalks began as a way to spend more time with close friends and family, but have grown into a community event that has transformed lives.
Naveed also travels to Fort William, the small Highland town where his parents first settled when coming to the UK. There, he鈥檚 joined by Kashif for a walk up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the country and the pair鈥檚 greatest hillwalking challenge to date.
