Niklas Frank - Son of Hans Frank, Governor General of Nazi-Occupied Poland
Stephen Sackur talks to journalist and writer Niklas Frank, who is also the son of Hans Frank, the brutal Nazi governor of Poland from 1939 to 1945.
75 years on from the verdict of the Nuremberg trials where some of the most senior Nazis were sentenced to death for war crimes, HARDtalk interviews the son of one of the guilty men. Stephen Sackur talks to Niklas Frank, a journalist and writer, but also the son of Hans Frank, the brutal Nazi governor of Poland from 1939 to 1945.
He was convicted of war crimes and executed for the major role he played in the deaths of millions of Jews and Poles during the Second World War. Niklas Frank tells Stephen Sackur how he has coped with the crimes of his father and why he will not let his fellow Germans forget the worst aspects of the Nazi era.
