Looking at how the devastating war in Ukraine has brought about a fundamental rethink in the world of defence spending.
The devastating war in Ukraine has brought about a fundamental rethink in the world of defence spending. The US and much of Europe have pledged significant increases in their defence budgets and arms companies around the western world are seeing their order books filling up. China and Russia are also spending billions more dollars on their militaries. We'll hear from the arms industry about why a strong defence policy is the best way to counter the aggression of President Putin and from a former German Defence Minister about how the world affords the extra spending as economics struggle to recover from the pandemic.
We'll also find out from the head of the International Chamber of Shipping about the seafarers trapped by the war in the Sea of Azov and how their uncertain fate is impacting global trade.
