Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols

Guitarist Steve Jones, founding member of the Sex Pistols, joins Johnnie to chat about his 70s memories and the new TV series Pistol, based on his memoirs.

Around this time in 1977, guitarist Steve Jones was a busy man. He was at the centre of a furore surrounding the chart position of his latest single with the Sex Pistols, 'God Save The Queen', which collided with the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth ll. He also happened to be in the most controversial band in Britain and was the one who'd shocked the nation by swearing on live TV during Bill Grundy's programme, just six months earlier.
Life is a bit calmer these days and Steve now has his own broadcasting career in Los Angeles, where he's lived for the past 35 years.
Steve joins Johnnie to chat about his 70's memories, the latest Sex Pistols' catalogue release and the new TV series, 'Pistol', directed by Danny Boyle, which is based on Steve's memoirs.
