The skirl of pipes as the Championships return, fiddlin’ seeds old style, Rhymes and Ructions in Ballyclare and the screen-writer going back to his Ulster-Scots roots.

After a day in Bangor for the return of the Pipe Band Championships, Rab Lennox - the Kintra team’s resident pipe enthusiast - is still smiling!

Jonnie Crawford has been chatting to screen-writer Ewan Glass ahead of a television documentary to be shown on Sunday night (22nd). Ewan’s keen to share his Ulster-Scots roots with his young son and heads back to Ballymoney to embrace his roots.

Jonnie’s also been talking to Jack McKinney about his new book and the concert he’s planned to help restore the May Fair tradition of music, story-telling and poetry in Ballyclare.

Gibson Young finds out about broadcasting seeds with a fiddle from his friend Davy Thompson, while Charlie Gillen has a poem on the same subject.
