Ankur finds out what his mum went through 50 years ago, when she was forced to flee her home in Uganda after dictator Idi Amin ordered South Asians to leave Uganda within 90 days.

For the first time, Ankur finds out what his mum went through 50 years ago when she was forced to flee her home in Uganda. Around 80,000 South Asians living in Uganda were ordered by dictator Idi Amin to leave their homes in just 90 days. They rebuilt their lives in countries like Canada and the UK, but many have never spoken about what they went through. Now, on the 50th Anniversary, young people are talking to their elders, and many untold traumas are being unearthed. Sudhir Uncle tells Ankur about how he was shot on his journey over and Sophie Vohra finds out what her dad Akbar faced as a child.
