Seonaid Aitken looks back at some musical highlights from 2022, including studio sessions from established and emerging artists. There鈥檚 music from Rachel Duns, former Rising Star award-winner at the Scottish Jazz Awards; a multi-cultural collaboration featuring saxophonist Brian Molley and Indian percussionist Krishna Kishor; bassist Brodie Jarvie marks the centenary of jazz giant Charles Mingus; the hi-energy playing of pianist Peter Johnstone鈥檚 Trio; and a musical mash-up mixing electronics, jazz and ambient sounds from Dundee composer and bandleader Andrew Wasylyk. Plus Richard Michael鈥檚 Song Book looks at the seasonal classic The Christmas Song.
