Episode 3
Jools welcomes Oxford rocker Gaz Coombes, singer-songwriter Mahalia, Mexico City duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, Brighton rockers Royal Blood and US youth poet laureate Kara Jackson to the show.
Jools invites more classic and contemporary artists for music sessions in north London's Alexandra Palace Theatre.
Oxford rocker and Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes returns to the show to perform songs from his critically acclaimed solo album Turn the Car Around. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Mahalia makes her solo debut with a performance of her single Terms and Conditions.
They're joined by two returning duos – Mexico City’s Grammy-winning Rodrigo y Gabriela, who perform a couple of numbers from their sixth album In Between Thoughts... A New World, and Brighton rockers Royal Blood with a new track ahead of their UK and European tour. Completing the line-up is debutante and 2019 US youth poet laureate Kara Jackson, who has just released her debut album Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?
