Hamza Yassin and Charlotte Smith celebrate the arrival of spring at the majestic 600-acre National Arboretum at Westonbirt in Gloucestershire. It鈥檚 home to a globally important collection of 2,500 different species, five national collections and is a beacon for education and the conservation of our native tree species.

Charlotte hears about the Victorian origins of Westonbirt鈥檚 collection before joining the tree surgery team as they fell an oak tree at the end of its life, to be repurposed and support bio-diversity. Hamza meets Westonbirt鈥檚 tree conservation team, who are using the arboretum to protect native and globally endangered specimens. He also meets wildlife conservation ranger Ross Martin, who is researching exactly which animals call the arboretum home.

Tom investigates the growth of solar farms on our landscape, and whether prime agricultural land could be under threat as the government prepares to ramp up solar energy.

And Adam looks into quad bike safety on farmland.
