Romesh Ranganathan, a man with no experience of criminal investigations whatsoever, tries to solve the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot in Las Vegas in 1996.

Tupac was a trailblazing rapper who delivered a unique mix of gangster rap, poetry and social commentary. In a short but blistering career, he angered politicians and dominated the charts, even dating the queen of pop Madonna herself as he catapulted himself from the streets of South Central LA to global fame. His shooting, after a Mike Tyson fight in September 1996 in Las Vegas, shocked the world; he died six days later at the age of just 25. Despite multiple leads being explored at the time, nobody has ever been convicted of his murder.
