The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Symphony Orchestra plus music from the Verbier Festival

Linton Stephens revisits highlights from the Verbier Festival and showcases music by Julius Eastman, Mahler and Sibelius at the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Proms.

Linton Stephens presents a selection of specially recorded classical music. He features two chamber recitals from the 2024 Verbier Festival: one by pianist Nikolai Lugansky, and another by a quintet of new-generation stars.

Later in the programme, Linton revisits Prom 45, recorded live at London's Royal Albert Hall. The ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Symphony Orchestra's Principal Guest Conductor Dalia Stasevska conducts the Symphony No.2 by American composer, Julius Eastman, which charts the love — and its disintegration — of Eastman and his ex-boyfriend. Elsewhere, mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton performs Mahler's ¸éü³¦°ì±ð°ù³Ù-³¢¾±±ð»å±ð°ù, and the orchestra performs the symphonic ode by Sibelius to nature's inspirational qualities: the Symphony No.5.
