Farming sisters at Clarkhill Farm in Newry, new research vessel for Lough Neagh, 2024 Grasscheck roundup and Tyrone students lift farming award

Presenter, Nicola Weir, travels to Clarkhill Farm in Newry to meet farming sisters, Colleen and Eleanor McCann. Eleanor is the expert when it comes to sheep but Colleen takes the lead on beef. But both are coming together to promote the farm鈥檚 new butchery hub. Nicola also chats to Dr Adam Mellor from AFBI about a new research vessel that will be heading to Lough Neagh to carry out many years of research into what is happening in the waters there. Andrew Patton, from the Northern Ireland Holstein Young Breeders Club, celebrates a special win for the organisation at the Northern Ireland Farming Awards and Jason Rankin from Agrisearch provides the vital 2024 round up for grass growth in all six counties. And finally, year 12 pupils Jack Steenson and Alexander Smith from Aughnacloy College proudly show off their trophy after winning the ABP Angus Youth Challenge.
