Christmas Tree Farm
Christmas Tree Farm in Craigantlet, Salmon stocks in crisis in Omagh, seaweed project underway on coastline and Kilkeel heifer Shaboozey wins big.
Presenter, Nicola Weir, travels to The Little Christmas Tree Farm in Holywood to meet Gareth and Sarah Dalzell who have been making families Christmas wishes come true by growing the perfect tree for their homes – and they tell Nicola how best to look after that tree once it’s indoors. Terry Smithson from the Omagh Anglers Association explains how data and hatcheries are the key to staving off an extremely worrying downturn in salmon stocks on the River Strule and Dr Naomi Wilson from the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute explains how an investigation into algae here will open up new economies for Northern Ireland. Finally, Nicola speaks to Alise Callaghan from Kilkeel, owner of this year’s Beef and Lamb Championships Supreme Champion – a heifer called Shaboozey.
