Episode 5
Auctioneer Bee discovers a fascinating religious relic, and JJ transforms a kitchen into a workshop. Can they raise the funds to send a grieving woman on the holiday of a lifetime?
Auctioneer Bee and restorer JJ are driving their little blue van to Peterborough to meet Jacqui. After her mum was diagnosed with dementia, Jacqui cared for her mum for eight years. Sadly, her mum passed away four years ago, leaving Jacqui devastated.
Having grown up in Rhodesia and South Africa, the house is filled with incredible collectibles from around the world, belonging to both Jacqui's mother and father. It has taken Jacqui four years, since her mum鈥檚 passing, to be emotionally ready to part with these items. With the money raised, she鈥檚 hoping to go travelling on a pilgrimage to some of the places her parents loved most.
Bee has only a day to uncover items worthy of going under her gavel. On her search, she uncovers a religious relic with a fascinating history. And strikes gold with some jewellery from both Jacqui鈥檚 mum and dad.
Meanwhile, JJ transforms the kitchen into his workshop, expertly refurbishing two cast-iron cooking pots. He also resurrects a copper coffee table, crafting new legs, and uses his military expertise to restore a box of miniature medals. Can Bee deliver from the rostrum to make this auction an unforgettable, emotional experience?
