Special: Psychology of a Scammer

Holly Hamilton gets answers, rights wrongs and fights for consumers everywhere.

What makes a scammer a scammer – what do they have that makes us, YOU, trust them?
We’re taking a deep dive today into the psychology of a scammer – our team has been investigating a company called Solidus X.

Unsuspecting investors were tricked into trusting these brokers with their money.
We’ve got our hands on something you won’t often hear: a call where one of these brokers – a guy called Michael - is signing an investor up to the platform
The lucky investor? Our editor Andy...
Holly & Carol Guinan, a chartered member of the British Psychological Society listen to the call from start to finish, to try to get to the bottom of the tricks and tactics scammers use to gain our trust, and our money.
If you have a story or experience with Solidus X you want to share email cfb@bbc.co.uk
