In Digital Planet this week, Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee gives us his vision for the next generation of web enabled devices. Gareth Mitchell has more from Japan where he discovers how to protect his home from intruders using a mobile phone and why blinking might be the text messaging of the future. Also in the programme we look to China and the recent protests in Xingjian province. News of mass demonstrations leaked out last week via social networking sites. Since then the Chinese government has tried to control media coverage. We look at their tactics.
