Peregrine parenting
The view from Duncrine Hill is of the stunning Loch Lomond. Summer breezes from the south bring warmth to these lowland hills which are perfect peregrine country. Once persecuted, the peregrine is beginning to make a comeback across Britain. The three chicks pictured in the eyrie are all about 14 days old and have to be fed at least four times a day. The female does most of the feeding whilst the male does the hunting. In one month the youngsters will join their parents in the air.
