Domestic ducks still behave as if they were wild ducks. That's not very surprising, since all these domestic ducks are descended from the mallard. One looks like it is part mallard and part Aylesbury. It doesn't take much to encourage ducks to interbreed - even in the wild they do it a lot. Some of these ducks will have been intentionally bred to look like this, but the others are the result of ducks doing what ducks do - a lot of mating! A tiny duck tries to mate with a very large Aylesbury, without success. The female ducks have a hard time as the males tend to gang up on them. Males are also scrapping with each other, but one pair of ducks is doing some more demure head bobbing displays, and there is lots of preening going on, to keep their feathers in waterproof.
