Six weeks after the death of matriarch Echo, the five month drought is taking its toll on all of Amboseli's wildlife. The elephants are under huge pressure and the E family fragments. This behaviour had been observed several times in the past during droughts and seemed to be a strategy to ensure survival of the greatest number. But without clear leadership how would the family fare?
