The story is of Pearly – married to a doctor in the uk, worrying about the future. Her husband is currently training – but the likelihood is that, in his field, there will be no work in this country for him once his training is over – so the family will have to move abroad. Pearly has already made a big move, coming from Malaysia to the UK – and now may have to move again. Her mother Nancy comes to see her to help look after the children whilst Pearly goes out to work. Mum would like her to move home, but this is unlikely to happen. But where they will all end up is a mystery
