Roger McGuinn talks to Johnnie
Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Joni Mitchell, Journey and Janis Joplin.
Johnnie is joined in conversation by Roger McGuinn, best known as lead singer and guitarist with The Byrds. After forming in 1964, Roger was the only member of the band to stay with the group until their breakup in 1973.
The seventies saw The Byrds release four studio albums and reach the UK top twenty in 1971 with the song Chestnut Mare. The group were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991, and McGuinn continues to tour to this day.
