House of Cards top 'binge-watch' series of all time
The hit drama House of Cards is a modern remake of the '90s 成人论坛 series, written and created by Lord Dobbs.
Asked whether Francis Urquhart, the main character in the original series, was based on a real life politician, Michael Dobbs told 5 live: : "I don't know of any prime minister, let alone president, who's actually murdered a journalist, although I know several who wish they had."
The programme is available to watch on Netflix and topped a Radio Times list of the 100 greatest TV shows to watch on demand.
