Clare's Law
Clare's Law came in to protect people from domestic abuse in 2014. The legislation was named after Clare Wood, who was murdered in 2009 by her ex-boyfriend. It lets you check up with the police if they have anything on their records and to see if the person has a violent history. Police forces across England and Wales have been warning up to five women a day that their partner has a violent past.
