Sales of Hawaii’s biggest export – the ukulele – reached 250,000 instruments in the UK last year. It’s one ukulele for every four guitars bought. The instrument’s small size and four strings are meant to make it easy to learn. Peter White tests the theory, with ukulele player and songwriter Lou Armer.
