Former British soldier killed by ISIS a 'brave and beautiful man'
A neighbour of Konstandinos Erik Scurfield, the former British soldier killed fighting the Islamic State, said the news of "beautiful" man's death death was "horrifying".
David Miller lives opposite the Scurfield family in Royston in Barnsley, was devastated that his village had come into the news for such a "tragedy".
The announcement by the Kurdish YPG militia, that the former British serviceman has been killed in Syria fighting the jihadists of Islamic State, marked a new and dangerous landmark in that country's conflict.
Mr Scurfield's family have been informed of the death.
