A national campaign has been started by Father Graham Smith of Saint Helen's Catholic church in Chipping Ongar, to make the churches former Priest, Father Thomas Byles, a Saint. He was part of the church between 1905 and 1912. He left to attend his Brothers wedding and when disaster struck, he decided to pray with passengers on the sinking Titanic rather than jump into a life boat.
