Future Islands: The Merits Of Raw Recording (Record Store Day)
Cult Baltimore band Future Islands went to Abbey Road Studios and recorded a new song in 3.5 minutes for 6 Music and Record Store Day 2015.
The track, 'The Chase', was pressed straight to vinyl (one copy only!) and placed in a random UK record shop.
In this clip Samuel and William from the group talk to Mary Anne Hobbs about the merits of raw recordings, ie. making records quickly.
