Girl 3, Lara, recounts to Bill Heine the incident resulting in a 999 call
The idea of 7 men grooming girls as young as 12 is heartbreaking to imagine. But this was happening in "The Otherside of Oxford" - the side that most of us didn't know or believe existed - and it was happening just half a mile from the iconic Magdalen Bridge.
There was one specific incident in 2006 when the dark heart at the centre of Oxford was briefly illuminated. Lara, known during The Bullfinch Trial as Girl 3, was beaten and raped in a hotel on Iffley Road. It was such an aggresive attack that someone in a neighbouring room called 999.
