Tooth whitening: Are whiter teeth worth it?
The British Dental Association is warning people, and specifically teenagers, against using home bleaching kits.
TV personality Francesca Newman-Young from Made in Chelsea uses and promotes home tooth whitening kits. She told the Victoria Derbyshire programme people should do thorough research before buying them.
Celebrity dentist Dr Mervyn Druian pioneered tooth whitening in the UK 30 years ago. He told the programme a "pleasing" smile gave people added confidence but that the procedure should be carried out by a professional.
