Claudia Hammond meets Carol Dweck, Professor of Psychology at Stanford University in California. Carol has demonstrated that she can motivate children to achieve more by teaching them that their abilities and talents are not fixed. Carol believes this is not limited to the classroom and has some advice on how parents should praise their children.
