Should India still have the death penalty?
One of India's leading newspapers - The Hindu - has described the execution of the convicted bomber as "inhuman and unconscionable". It says a democratic government should not consider the death penalty as the only form of action to take against someone convicted of a heinous crime. However on social media there are many ordinary Indians lauding the fact that India has executed Yakub Memon. There are many convicted criminals on death row - including the men convicted of the Delhi rape.
