The Missing Hancocks: Door to Door
The radio comedy Hancock’s Half Hour was recorded between 1954 -1959 and starred Tony Hancock, Sid James and Kenneth Williams. Of the 102 episodes aired 20 have been lost from the archives. The Missing Hancocks gives audiences another chance to laugh at sketches not heard since the 1950s.
Neil Pearson directs Kevin McNally as the pompous Hancock, Robin Sebastian takes on the nasal tones of Kenneth Williams, with Simon Greenall of Alan Partridge fame in the Sid James role. Susy Kane is Hancock’s long- suffering girlfriend, played by Andree Melly in the original series, while Alex Lowe becomes the ‘boy from Wagga Wagga’ Bill Kerr. The Missing Hancocks is at the Assembly Rooms until 30 August 2015.
