Sona Jobarteh

West Africa's first ever kora virtuoso.

Nikki Bedi hears from a wealth of virtuoso performers including circus star Anastasia the fourth, who hangs by her hair, actor Tom Hardy, who plays both brothers at once in a new film about the notorious British gangsters The Kray twins, Sona Jobarteh who is the first female virtuoso kora player from West Africa and pianist James Rhodes who is the first classical pianist to be signed by a major rock label for a six album deal.

Also Phillip Bergson on some of the highlights of the Montreal and Romania film festivals, Sanjeev Bhaskar discusses the use of music in Bollywood film and we find out how Donald Duck helped the American war effort.

The Arts Hour is coming to Delhi, India

The Arts Hour is coming to Delhi, India
成人论坛 World Service in partnership with the British Council invites you to a special recording of 鈥淭he Arts Hour鈥. For the programme, hosted by Nikki Bedi, a panel of leading and emerging figures in Delhi鈥檚 arts and culture scenes will discuss how tolerant Indian culture is of new ideas.

Following the recording of The Arts Hour, which will last approximately 60 minutes, there will be a reception.

The programme will be broadcast to the 成人论坛鈥檚 international audiences on Saturday, 19th September, and is part of a special India Season of 成人论坛 programming celebrating India for UK and international audiences.鈥
