The People's Car, the VW Beetle
Ivan Hirst tells the story of the Volkswagen Beetle, rediscovered in the ruins of a munitions factory in Germany at the end of World War II. Realising the potential of the car as a means of transport for allied forces in Germany, it was put back into production.
