Hindu Nationalism
Critics say there has been a rise in aggression from hardline Hindu groups. They say the lynching of a 50-year-old man in northern India allegedly over rumours that his family had been storing and consuming beef at home is one example. Another is when members of Shiv Sena covered the organiser of a book launch for former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri in Mumbai with black ink. They said it was a "peaceful protest" against Pakistan. Although the actions don't represent the views of the majority of Hindus in India - are Indians proud of the stronger stance?
