Memorial to Sikh soldiers
Statue to honour Sikhs who fought in World War 1 unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.130,000 Sikhs fought for Britain in the conflict. Over a quarter were casualties. It cost 拢20,000 and was funded through voluntary donations. British military leaders hope the memorial will encourage future generations of British Sikhs to join the army.
