World record breaking crystal structure model
Dr Robert Krickl is building a world record breaking ball-and-stick model of the crystal structure of salt. The finished model will contain 38,880 balls connected by over 10 km of sticks in a cubic structure over 3m tall. The official world record attempt will be on 23rd November, and the structure will be on display in the courtyard of the City Hall in Vienna, Austria until 30th November.
