Will government advice on alcohol make any difference to how much you drink?
There is no such thing as a safe level when it comes to drinking alcohol and even a small amount can increase the risk of cancer - that's the new official guidance after the first major NHS review for 20 years. For the first time the advice is the same for men and women - if you want to keep health risks low don't drink more than fourteen units a week - that's roughly seven standard glasses of wine or six pints of average strength beer. Will people actually take the advice on board and change their habits? Do some Asian cultures encourage excessive drinking? Caller Nin and Dr Kailesh Chand share their views with Sheetal.
