Spaghetti House Siege, 1975
This was a robbery that went wrong. As the police arrived, the gunmen took refuge in the storeroom of the Knightsbridge restaurant, taking the staff hostage. The siege lasted five days and was the first of its kind in Britain. Dr Raj Persaud investigates.
