JusReign talks about being asked to remove his turban
Jasmeet Singh, best known as comedian JusReign, was stopped at an airport in San Francisco and asked to remove his turban by airport security staff in a private room. When he asked for a mirror to put it back on, he was told it wouldn't be provided and that he could walk to a public restroom to re-do it. The Sikh comedian then tweeted about his experience
Homeland Security sent Asian Network a statement saying "All TSA officers and contracted screeners are trained to treat all passengers with dignity and respect, and receive periodic training regarding cultural and religious sensitivities. When additional screening is needed that requires the removal of religious apparel, our officers offer private screening and request the passenger remove the item."
