The Maasai women hitting gender inequality for six
A group of young female members of a Maasai community in Nairobi, Kenya have formed a cricket team to give themselves a voice for equal gender rights, education for girls and an end to Female Genital Mutilation.
The team has been founded by Sonyanga Ole Ngais, leader of the Maasai Warrior cricket team which recently featured in a critically-acclaimed documentary following the warriors as they traveled to play cricket at Lord's.
The Maasai Warriors have since returned home and have set to work establishing a ladies cricket team to further their ambition of improving gender equality in the Maasai community.
Stumped went to meet the ladies of the team to ask how cricket is transforming their lives.
