CCTV footage has captured the moment hooded raiders were sent fleeing from a house when an alarm went off.

The footage released by Cambridgeshire Police shows two people carefully climbing stairs, with their hoods pulled tightly around their faces, after they broke into a house in Ryefield Close, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, at about 01:00 BST on Wednesday.

One of the intruders can be seen reaching up to the CCTV camera, before the alarm sounds and they race back down the stairs.

Police in the town are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
