Nursery owner questions Prevent strategy
How far would you go to try and protect young people in your community from being radicalised? Hifsa Haroon-Iqbal currently works as the West Midlands Regional Lead for PREVENT; a Government programme which aims to reduce radicalisation. It's been criticised by many imams, journalists, human rights activists and the National Union of Teachers. Do such programmes make a difference or make things worse? Caller Nazma, who owns a number of nurseries in the Midlands, spoke to Hifsa about how the Prevent strategy works in schools.
