The radical preacher is now behind bars having been convicted of inviting others to support the so called Islamic State militant group - a banned organisation. But it's taken police a huge amount of time to get him locked up - with Scotland Yard reviewing 20 years of intelligence. Most people will know who Choudary is - his speeches of hate have been given lots of air time, some would say too much. But has he always held extremist views? Anila Dhami speaks to retired judge Khurshid Drabu, who worked in the same legal office as Choudary in 1995.
