Danny Willett: I've had to apologise for my brother's behaviour
Danny Willett has admitted he has had to apologise for his brother's controversial Ryder Cup preview article.
PJ Willett rose to prominence whilst live-tweeting his brother Danny's Masters victory back in April, but has been highly critical of Americans in his written preview for National Club Golfer - at one point describing them as "basement-dwelling irritants, stuffed on cookie dough and beer".
And Danny admits he has had to do a bit of damage control to ensure there's no bad blood between him and the Americans.
"It's disrupted my preparation. Obviously I've had a few things to do and to say," he told Alistair Bruce-Ball on 5 live Sport.
"You have to make sure you've apologised to the right people and say the right things to make sure it doesn't spark up more than it already has."
Full coverage of the Ryder Cup begins at 13:00 BST on Friday on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio 5 live.
