Is trust in decline?
Trust in authority seems to be ebbing away. Poltiicians, judges, scientists and doctors are meeting more distrust. John Lloyd of the Financial Times newspaper says that journalists are responsible for spreading mistrust of e.g. politicians but that public scepticism is likely to erode confidence in an profession that relies on reporting the facts and telling the truth.
