Firework ban aims to cut Diwali air pollution
A ban on the sale of fireworks in the Indian city of Delhi during this week’s festival of Diwali is aimed at cutting air pollution which coats the city in a toxic smog. Some people believe the ban won’t have much impact because there’s already so much pollution in the city – but others feel that firecrackers are an important part of the celebrations.
