Why snowboarding needs to be safer
Snowboarder Kevin Pearce was preparing for the 2010 Winter Olympics Games in Vancouver.
The American was one of the favourites to win a medal in the halfpipe but on December 31st 2009, Kevin suffered a traumatic brain injury whilst practising.
He would never compete again. Despite being nearly 10 years on since the accident, Kevin says winter sports must do more to improve head safety.
