We are seeing more electric vehicles on our roads and global sales are on the rise.
Most of the auto manufacturers have now announced ambitious plans for the electric vehicle market. It's been estimated that by 2020 electric vehicles are likely to cost the same as conventional fuel powered equivalents.
Richard Cuerden from the UK's Transport Research Laboratory tells us why the future looks electric.
