Traders concerned at Beaminster 'hole in the wall'
In the early hours of Saturday 19th August 2018, a gang attempted to pull a cashpoint machine from a listed building in Beaminster Square using a stolen tractor and Land Rover. The raid failed, but significant structural damage was caused to the building on Fleet Street. Small businesses are concerned that their trade has suffered since the incident and are calling for urgent action to speed up repair work to improve traffic issues. Rebecca Knox, Dorset County Council Leader and Beaminster County Councillor said "it's been a very frustrating process", adding that 2 way traffic "will be back as soon as possible".
